Solidarity Workshops
We want to make our tufting studio accessible to people who might otherwise have limited opportunities to engage in artistic or craft-based activities, whether due to financial, linguistic, or personal barriers.
Thanks to the support of a friend, we can offer subsidised workshop spots upon request.
Who is this offer for?
This offer is specifically aimed at:
refugee women and girls
genderqueer people
individuals receiving disability insurance (IV) benefits
If you belong to any of these groups (or know someone who does) feel free to reach out. We also welcome enquiries from organisations, initiatives, or community projects working with these communities.
Accessibility
Our space is accessible via three steps, a small passenger lift, and a few minor floor obstacles (threshold, cables).
Please note that the toilet is unfortunately not wheelchair-accessible.
We will, however, do our very best to accommodate your individual needs whenever possible.
If you plan to bring a support person, please let us know in advance so we can organise additional assistance if required.
What you can expect
You can join any of our regular workshops (e.g., Beginners Workshop) with a subsidised spot.
You will learn the basics of tufting, work with organic sheep’s wool sourced from a family-run spinning mill in Graubünden, and create your own small tufted piece to take home.
Workshops are held in German and/or English.
Costs
Subsidised spots are available upon request, depending on availability and individual situation.
Just send us a message, we’re happy to help.
